"Hello!
My name is Skorodumova Galina. I am 20 years old. Most recently, I graduated from Moscow Polytechnic Institute (Moscow Art and Industrial Institute) with a bachelor of design degree. I am glad to tell you about myself, about my work and about how BURDA magazine helps me on my favorite site.
HOW I BECAME A MODELER
BURDA Magazine interests me since childhood. While my mother was sewing, she let me look at the magazines.I enthusiastically painted on the models the elements I needed, so far in our family there are these magazines with my children's autographs. With age, interest in the magazine grew with me. I liked to pick up my models and ask my mom to sew a new thing. Then I took courage and sewed my first skirt.
And since childhood, I dreamed of becoming a fashion designer and even released my home-style fashion magazine. This was my first portfolio. Now I design and sew clothing collections, and my beloved mother and my favorite magazine help me with this.
ABOUT THE MAGAZINE
Perfectly accurate patterns allow you to get perfectly sitting on the figure of the product. Having design skills, you can partially rebuild patterns from the magazine - the result is still excellent. I always look forward to the next issue, can’t wait to see new fashion trends, creative ideas. I want to note that with the BURDA magazine, sewing and doing needlework is easy and simple, clear step-by-step instructions always lead to the desired goal.
ABOUT PREFERENCES
I come up with clothes for creative natures with an extraordinary view of the world. For girls in whom a passion for adventure and a thirst for vivid self-expression are raging. In costumes I express my character. I believe that in any good work, the author’s attitude to the topic and his handwriting should be visible. From this, a corporate, recognizable style is formed. I can’t say that I have uniquely defined my style and am ready to dwell on one thing. For now, I like to experiment and try new techniques.Recently, I am particularly interested in application and painting on the skin. Creativity of impressionist and pointelist artists gives me inspiration. The sea of ​​colors, optical color mixing and unusual combinations work great both in painting and in fashion.
ABOUT LIFE POSITION
In each of my capsule mini-collections, I try to tell a small story-tale of my fictional heroine. I know exactly what the collection should be and what emotions I want to convey to the viewer. I try not to allow the collection concept to be lost or the juicy image to fade in the process of making costumes. It is very important for me. The process of creating a collection of 5-7 models takes 2-3 months - this is a fairly long period of time, from ideas and search thumbnails to final execution in the material. In the process, you always want to change something. But good ideas should never be let go, they should be grabbed by the tail, like a firebird, and hold tight! It is important to be sure what you are doing. Do not listen to anyone and go to the end, if you know for sure that something new and strong will come out of this! As a result, it is often nice to hear good words of praise about the work done.

To state the truth of character, to believe in what you are doing, to be inspired by an idea and give yourself to creativity, to find a like-minded friend - these are the key secrets for me of success and good mood!
