How to sew a tulle skirt-shop

Step 1. Fabric consumption and cutting

Women's skirt: 6 layers of black tulle

Fabric consumption for a 6-layer tulle skirt with a tulle width of 140 cm: desired skirt length in centimeters x 12 (example: desired skirt length = 80 cm. 0.80 m x 12 = 9.60 m fabric consumption).

For cutting the skirt panels, you first need to determine the length of the skirt: tie the waist with tape, measure the desired length of the skirt from the tape down.

The width of the skirt panels corresponds to the width of the tulle (140 cm).

For one layer of the skirt, 2 panels of the skirt are sewn = side seams.

For a 6-layer skirt, 12 skirt panels will be needed.

1 layer = 2 panels of a skirt 140 cm wide x skirt length.

Cutting:

12 panels of skirts 140 cm wide x skirt length.

Measure the waist circumference: for this, measure the upper body in the narrowest place with a measuring tape.To this value add 2 cm for allowances and cut off a piece of elastic tape of the appropriate length: the length of the elastic tape = waist circumference + 2 cm.

Children's skirt: 4 layers of black tulle, 2 layers of shiny tulle

Fabric consumption for a 6-layer tulle skirt with a tulle width of 140 cm:

Sequined tulle (2 layers): desired skirt length in centimeters x 4.

Black tulle (4 layers): desired skirt length in centimeters x 8 (example: desired skirt length = 40 cm. Sequined tulle 140 cm wide: 0.40 m x 4 = 1.60 m fabric consumption. Black tulle wide 140 cm: 0.40 mx 8 = 3.20 m tissue consumption).

Cutting:

From tulle with sequins: 4 panels of a skirt 140 cm wide x skirt length.

From black tulle: 8 panels of skirts 140 cm wide x skirt length.

Step 2

For each layer, 2 panels of the skirt, fold the front sides and grind side sections on the overlock (= side seams).

Step 3

Insert all 6 layers into one another, aligning the side seams, and chop the upper sections with tailor pins.

Step 4

To pick up the top cut of a skirt. To do this, lay the machine stitch with the largest possible stitch at a distance of 7 mm and 1.5 cm from the upper cut.

Step 5

Squeeze the cut on the upper threads to a length equal to the circumference of the hips + 5 cm. The ends of the threads tightly knit. Assemble the assemblies evenly.

Step 6

Divide the upper section of the skirt into 4 equal parts and mark them with pins. Side seams at the same time serve as guidelines.

Step 7

For the belt, cut off the elastic tape with a length equal to the waist circumference + 2 cm. Fold the belt with the front side inwards and grind the short ends. Overcast seam allowances on overlock.Divide the belt into 4 equal parts and mark them with pins.

Step 8

Pin the belt to the upper cut of the skirt with the wrong side to the front side, precisely aligning the pin marks on the belt and the skirt, and stitch, slightly stretching. At the end, remove the sewing threads.
