Traditionally, loops for the belt on products are made from the main fabric. But as a decorative element, loops can be made of contrasting fabric, beautiful braid, as well as threads for knitting.

For a light coat of variegated woolen fabric, decorated with threads for knitting, loops for the belt can be made from the same threads.

You will need:

- ruler for marking allowances;

- tailor pins;

- scissors for needlework;

- woolen threads for knitting;

- a needle for drawing gum, or a needle for stitching knitwear, or a regular large needle with a large eye

Step 1

Using tailor's pins, ruler and belt, mark up for loops.

Step 2

Pull the woolen thread from the wrong side of the product to the front.

Step 3

Sew a small “back needle” stitch so that you have a loop.

Step 4

While holding the loop with your thumb and forefinger, grab the thread with your middle finger and pull it into the loop.

Step 5

Tighten the thread, forming a new loop and the first loop-knot of the future loops.

Step 6

Next, perform the following loop-knot, again pulling a new loop. And so on, forming a chain of pigtailed loops.

Step 7

Having received the necessary length of the decorative loops (it should be slightly longer than the markings), thread the needle through the last loop and tighten the thread.

Step 8

Bring the tail of the thread to the wrong side.

Step 9

Fix both tails in a canvas and hide in the allowances of the side seams. Cut the edges of the threads.
