Prior to her hobby for sewing, Aisha considered her life to be a “rather sad existence”. She compares her acquaintance with the sewing machine with "the sunlight that illuminated the gloomy corner."

"In 2009, I was bored. Very boring. It seemed that all I did was wake up, go to my work, which I could not stand, and then go home again. Pretty sad existence, actually. I needed “Something that could make a difference,” our heroine Aisha Davis says. “Then DIY was a little movement, not like today. I read fashion and sewing blogs and just wanted to have at least a bit of that creative energy in my life, what the women who led them had.
One post, in particular, made me think. It was a do-it-yourself clutch bag, the manufacture of which required a sewing machine. I realized: I just have to become the owner of this bag! But the sewing machine ... I had no idea how to use it and could not do anything with it, even if I had it. A few clicks - and I signed up for a beginner's sewing course, where you could go after work.Of course, I was able to sew manually, but it was completely different. I really wanted this bag.
I entered the first lesson with a notebook and pen, and went out with a pillow that I sewed, imagine with my own hands! It was a moment of insight for me. Like sunlight illuminating a dark corner. Everything, after that I fell into dependence. Since then I sew. Now the creation of things is such a part of me that I cannot imagine my life without it. At the same time, I confess, I still feel like a newbie.
The beginning with sewing clothes led to the fact that I tried myself in other types of needlework. The creation of furniture and home decor, jewelry, shoes, wood items, knitting ... This list goes on, because I'm always looking for something new. "

Who will be interested in this page
We recommend the page of our heroine to those who sew and generally needlework: it infects with optimism and inspiration. Those who love costume parties (for example, on Halloween) or sew similar costumes for children can find some ideas here: a number of photos of Aisha are in unusual costumes created by her, similar to theatrical ones.
