To achieve perfect smoothness of the legs, it is not necessary to go to a beauty salon. You can cope with this task at home, if you get a good epilator.

Try it and you will like it! This is how many women characterize hair removal. Of course, the result depends on the characteristics of the skin, its sensitivity, but the main role still belongs to the device itself. Traditional electro-epilators are at the peak of popularity, but recently they have an alternative - photoepilators, the choice has become more and more interesting.

Choose an epilator

All electroepilators are arranged in the same way: the basis of the design is the so-called micro-tweezers system, which rotates and, like tiny tweezers, grabs and pulls out the hairs with the root. There are simple models that can only fulfill their intended purpose, but there are multifunctional, or combined.

If the skin is not very sensitive, then a simple model for dry hair removal is suitable for you. In other cases, universal wireless devices for dry and wet hair removal, which can be used directly in the shower, are more suitable. Warm water soothes, relaxes the skin, while improving blood circulation, and the procedure practically does not cause discomfort. "Station wagons" have two speeds (for delicate and intensive processing), are equipped with a full set of accessories for removing hairs on the legs, arms and in particularly sensitive places.

Hair Removal and Care

To achieve the best result without unnecessary efforts, when the skin becomes not only smooth and pleasant to the touch, but also radiant, combined devices will help. They not only remove unwanted hairs throughout the body, but also gently exfoliate, cleanse the skin and stimulate its renewal. Regular peeling is good both in external effect and practical benefit - it helps to cope with the problem of ingrown hair.

Almost all modern electroepilators can remove even very short hairs - only 0.5 mm long. There are devices with a floating head, which follows the contours of the body and easily moves in any direction.

The more tweezers on the epilator, the faster and more efficient the process. True, given that the hairs usually grow unevenly and come in different lengths and thicknesses, it is not always possible to immediately achieve the ideal. An epilator with a built-in blade can help out here, which will cut off the naughty hairs under the root.

Undoubtedly, other additional functions add convenience: a bikini line limiter, a trimmer for a haircut, a kit for removing facial hair, as well as bright lighting and a charging indicator.

Photoepilator

Unlike electric "brothers", such a device does not pull out the hair, and with a powerful flash of light it destroys the hair shaft and follicle, and the hair falls out naturally. The procedure is absolutely painless, skin irritation is minimized, and hair growth just stops for a while. The process itself is incredibly easy - you need to bring the device to the skin and gradually move it along the line of hair removal. You can handle your legs, arms and even sensitive areas such as the armpits and bikini area.

Limitations: photoepilation is not suitable for dark and tanned skin. In addition, it is ineffective for removing light, gray and red hair.

PRACTICE OF SUCCESSFUL EPILATION

■ The optimal length of hairs is 0.5–5 mm. If longer, it is better to shorten them with a trimmer or shave and let them grow to the desired length.

■ For the first time or after a long break, hair removal should not be done on the eve of an important event, do it at least one day in advance.

■ Before hair removal, you need to spend 5 minutes in warm water so that the hairs rise and are easier to grasp.

■ Wet cooling wipes help prepare the skin for the procedure and soothe it after the session.

■ Hold the device at an angle of 90 ° to the body and gently lead from the bottom up against the growth of hair.

■ To prevent ingrown hairs, use a body scrub once a week.
