At Moscow Fashion Week, there was certainly no shortage of light and bright fabrics in the collections for the spring / summer 2014 seasons. They were replaced, as a rule, by gentle pastel and restrained prints and shades. And of course, white and black.
What do our designers offer us?
Most of the presented collections are made in world fashion trends. (about fashionable fabrics in foreign collections, the article will be published a little later). First of all, the trend was bright hand painted fabrics with a combination of floral and geometric prints, as well as silk painting. Large flowers and geometric abstraction create an absolutely fantastic world of natural riot of colors of the southern countries and call for relaxation in the most exotic places.
Still two current trends in this segment: 1) mirror image: the front and back seem to consist of two halves, reflected in each other and 2) a completely new trend - the kaleidoscopy of the pattern. In designer handmade, it is achieved through complex embroidery or gluing a wide variety of materials - from mirror sequins to tiny matte metal plates.
Still in fashion transparent fabrics - the most diverse: from super-current mesh to chiffon, tulle, different types of crepe and, of course, guipure. Transparent and openwork fabrics, by the way, are ideal for fashionable layering with cuts everywhere and everywhere, different bottom lengths and cuts. Openwork welt fabrics are in fashion (using modern technology of burning, or perforation).
Black and white graphics - the main trend of spring-summer 2014: abstraction, and from traditional patterns: first of all, peas of different sizes and shapes and stripes - horizontal, vertical, diagonal, interrupted (stroke), combined in the most unthinkable versions. Graphics can be widely supplemented with floral patterns in black and white. It seems that every fashionista should have a dress with a black and white print in her wardrobe this summer.
But black dresses this summer are fashionable to colorize with bright accents with a predominance of red and gold colors.
In addition to different floral and geometric prints, their combination in one fabric is in fashion, and the combination of cells and flowers made using the watercolor technique is especially popular.
Continued introduced Dolce & gabbana fashion onhistorical prints. They are supplemented by images of faces and texts and even whole pictures in different genres that have not gone out of fashion for a long time.
Camouflage prints are still relevant. Among the traditional color prints, in addition to peas, there are a paisley pattern, a geometric patchwork, a pattern of men's ties, a chicken foot, a cage of vichy, coupons.
The boiling white color is in fashion, especially on transparent fabrics or in combinations of dense and transparent fabrics in one model.
Brilliant, shining, but most importantly - mother of pearl iridescent fabrics are also in fashion. The play of light is of great importance this season. Of these fabrics, it is best to sew an outfit with a strict silhouette with clear and clean lines.
In fashion also silver - especially for parties and special occasions. True, such a dress (not a classic evening option, of course) or a silver finish is quite appropriate now in everyday life.
Here is another very actual colors: bright fruit on one side and delicate pastels and all shades of the earth on the other. The most relevant of the bright: all shades of red and orange, yellow, green, blue.
Of pastel shades: light blue and green, mint, pale lemon, peach and pink.
From shades of earth: brown - from the color of chocolate and coffee (from black to coffee with cream) to the color of ground pepper and beige.
Embroidery - The trendy jewelry for this season, of course, is better hand-made, and also ethnic. You can embroider a plain fabric with floss thread, and sequins, beads or rhinestones. Those who are too lazy to embroider can paint the fabric with textile dyes using stencil templates.
In general, fashionable shades of gray are distinguished for a strict office dress code and lush colors for relaxation.
And finally - knitwear: It has become indispensable for any season. We can say that this type of fabric never goes out of fashion, only changing its face from year to year.
