Features patterns
✂ When the very first works sewn on this pattern appeared on the site’s photo forum, many forum users noted in the comments that the model was too baggy. That's right, he’s free cut. If you are embarrassed by such a "hoodie" dress, you can safely take a pattern a size smaller. But, be sure to measure your hip circumference and compare with your measurements to make sure that the smaller size suits you.
In my case, both dresses are sewn on a pattern of size 36, which is one size smaller than my standard.
✂ The boat neckline may seem too wide, but this is a misleading impression. The shoulder length in the pattern is sufficient, so you can not worry about the straps from the clothes will look out.
✂ A half-sleeved wide sleeve is very comfortable, does not require fitting and fitting. So there will be no problems with putting it into the armhole, especially if you are a beginner.
✂ Sleeve length corresponds to the intended image and model. Making it longer is definitely not worth it. But shorter - quite.
✂ The most charming and seductive accent in this mini-dress is a deep V-neckline, which is fixed with long narrow ties. In the heat, especially with a light breeze, you will appreciate this idea.
Oddly enough, the depth of the notch ends exactly at the place where the bra clasp passes. But if nevertheless such openness is embarrassing, you can safely raise the depth of the cut by a couple of centimeters.
✂ Immediately after cutting along the cut line, lay the stabilizer stitch.
✂ Be sure to duplicate the grooves of the neckline of the front and back.
✂ After sharpening the seams, cut the seam allowances close to the stitch, in the places of rounding and in the corner cut.
✂ Stitch the seam to the allowances close to the seam. Also, the stitching can be sewn from the front of the dress, departing from the edge of the neckline 1-2 mm.
The secret to perfect edging
Why is it necessary to grind stitching to seam allowances
✂ The length of the dress from the waist is only 45 cm - a real mini! A great option for relaxing on the sea. For a city or because of its own preferences, the length can be increased even to the middle of the knees, it will no longer be comme il faut.
✂ Pockets in the side seams are certainly a comfortable part, but in this case I don’t see the point at all. But it is worth noting one point in their defense - they do not burden the model and do not look redundant.

What fabric to sew a bag from
The magazine recommends light dressing fabrics, with which I completely agree. Of course, you can sew this dress from thicker cotton with elastane, which holds its shape slightly, but then all the freedom and ease of the model will be lost. The choice is yours.
From my own experience, I can safely recommend three types of fabric for our best-selling bag-dress:
Linen
With a print, plain, bright or not - it doesn’t matter at all, most importantly, choose linen not from the costume group and then the dress will turn out to be perfectly comfortable.

Silk
Thin satin silk with print or coupon pattern elastane. A dress from it can be worn as a tunic with trousers. Thanks to the elastane fibers, you can create an asymmetric drapery effect and emphasize it with a belt or belt.
Viscose
Printed or plain, most importantly, dress. Even a viscose twill makes perfect friends with this model.
